Ingredients for Parsley Pastry Recipe

For the dough:

  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 1/2 pack instant yeast (5 grams)
  • 4 tablespoons of sunflower oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For internal mortar:

  • 100 grams of cheese
  • 1/2 cup glass of white cheese
  • ½ cup glass of cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 bunch of vegetables

For the above:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • ¹ tablespoon of sunflower oil
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Depending on the density of the flour you use, you can reduce or increase the amount by 1/2 water glass. Take care to add the flour gradually and until the dough is gathered. Let the dough stand at room temperature.

How to Make Parsley Pastry Recipe?

To prepare the dough of bearded pastries; Put 1.5 cups of sifted flour into the kneading bowl.

After adding the dry or instant yeast, granulated sugar and salt, mix all the dry ingredients by hand.

After opening the middle of the flour with your hands, add warm milk, water and sunflower oil gradually.

Add the remaining flour little by little and mix all the ingredients until well.

Knead the dough you bought on the floured kitchen counter until it melts by pressing it to activate the yeast.

When you have an earlobe-like dough that does not stick to your hands, cover it with a clean kitchen cloth. Let the dough you have prepared rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.

To prepare the filling; Mix the grated feta and labne cheese in a small bowl. Finely chop the parsley. Take the grated cheddar cheese in long thin pieces on a plate.

Take walnut-sized pieces from the rested dough and roll it on the bench, stretch the edges slightly and shape. Place them on a baking tray with greaseproof paper at intervals.

Whisk the egg yolk with granulated sugar and sunflower oil and then rub it on the dough. Bake in a preheated 170 degree oven for about 30 minutes.

After resting the pastry from the oven for a short time, cut them lengthwise in the middle.

After dipping the pastry filled with labnose filling in grated cheddar cheese and minced parsley, share it with your loved ones.

Service Suggestion of Bearded Pastry Recipe

You can use dill instead of finely chopped parsley and sprinkle sesame and black cumin on the pastry.
