Materials
- 2.5 cups of milk
- 1 egg yolk
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of grated lemon peel
For the above
- 2 egg whites
- 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar
How to Make Mereng Lemon Dessert?
Mix the milk, egg yolk, sugar, vanilla, starch, flour, lemon juice and lemon peel in the pot, cook over medium heat until thickened. Divide the mixture into bowls and let it sit until it reaches room temperature. Put the room temperature egg whites in a dry and clean bowl and whisk them with a mixer until they are fluffy. Add the powdered sugar little by little. Add cream of tartar and continue whisking until it becomes solid. Fill the cream on top of the desserts and light it with a burner. Put it in the fridge. Let it rest for at least an hour and serve cold.
