If you ask how New York style cheesecakes are different from others, they have become so famous, the difference is actually their simplicity. Because it is enough to use the most basic ingredients for New York style cheesecake; cream cheese, eggs and sugar.

Ingredients for New York Style Cheesecake Recipe

For the base:

  • 1.5 packs of petibor biscuits
  • 1/4 cup of marinated butter

For the filling:

  • 1250 grams of brown cheese (at room temperature)
  • 1 + 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons
  • 1/2 lemon zest
  • 1 orange zest
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 packs of vanillin
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream

Use a 23 cm diameter, greased cuffed cake tin, so you will have sufficient height when the cheesecake is cooked and it will be easy to remove from the mold. When grating the orange and lemon peels, be careful not to grate the white parts, otherwise you will get a slightly bitter taste.

How to Make New York Style Cheesecake Recipe?

For the base:

Crumble the Pötibör biscuits thoroughly with your hand or with the help of a food processor, then pour the melted butter over them and blend them well.

Place greaseproof paper at the bottom of the cake mold where you will cook the cheesecake and spread this base mixture by pressing it on the floor. Then put the cake mold in the freezer and let it stand in the freezer while you prepare the filling.

For the filling:

In a deep bowl for about 3 minutes, whisk the labne cheese and sugar at medium speed with a mixer until you get a completely creamy mixture.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, grated lemon peels and grated orange peels thoroughly and add this floured mixture to the cheesecake mixture and mix.

Add 5 eggs and 2 egg yolks to this mixture one by one, after adding each egg, beat it well and make it identify with the mixture.

Finally, add the vanilla powder and the whipped cream you have prepared as written on the package.

Take the cake mold out of the freezer and pour the filling you have prepared into the mold.

Bake in the preheated oven at 260 degrees first for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature of the oven to 100 degrees and bake for about 60 more minutes until the top looks like a golden soufflé.

After taking it out of the oven, let stand at room temperature for about 2 hours, then refrigerate for about 6 hours and then serve.
