Ingredients for Making a Gansito Cake:
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar (200 grams)
- 1 cup of wheat flour (140 grams)
- ¹ cup pancake flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (chemical yeast)
- 4 tablespoons of evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- ½ cup of melted butter
For filler meringue:
- Glass of sugar (100 grams)
- 40 grams of water
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 egg whites
- 200 grams of chocolate
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 handful of chocolate shavings
To start the gansito cake recipe, beat the eggs with sugar in a bowl for 5 minutes or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Gansito Cake Recipe
Mix wheat flour, pancake flour, baking powder and baking powder.
Add the dry ingredients to the sugared egg mixture and beat for another 3 minutes.
Add butter, tablespoons of evaporated milk and vanilla extract and beat for another 5 minutes. If you prefer, you can make homemade evaporated milk to make Gansito’s cake recipe even more affordable.
