Christmas Cake Recipe
You can enrich the Christmas cake prepared with different flavors such as orange, lemon, dried apricot, clove and cinnamon with cream cheese and cream.
Materials
-100 g dried blueberries
-80 g currants
-100 g cherry or dried
-100 g raisins
-90 g dried mulberry
-90 g dried black grapes
-90 g dried black plum
-50 g dried apricots
-Zest of 1 lemon (Grated)
-1 orange peel (Grated)
-250 ml whiskey / rum or diluted molasses
-4 medium eggs
-180 g butter (Soft)
-180 g brown sugar
-200 g flour
-10 g of baking powder
-60 g almond flour
-10 g honey
-5 g cinnamon powder
-5 g powdered cloves
-60 g walnuts
For the above
-200 g fresh cream cheese
-200 g cream (Cold)
-80 g icing sugar
-3 g cinnamon
How to Make a Christmas Cake?
Put all dried fruits and lemon and orange peel in a deep bowl, soak in alcohol or molasses for at least 4-5 hours, depending on your preference.
Increase the sugar and butter with a mixer and add the eggs one by one and beat.
Stir the flour and spices into the egg mixture with a spatula and add powdered almonds, honey and walnuts.
Strain all the wetted dry ingredients and add to the mixture.
Transfer it to a greased cake mold and bake in a preheated 150 degree oven for 1-1.5 hours.
Put the cheese, powdered sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and whisk together.
Whisk the cold cream in a separate bowl and add it to the cheese mixture, then put it in a squeezing bag and rest in the refrigerator.
When the temperature of the cake reaches room temperature, make the icing balls on it and decorate it as you wish.
